This was a project that I have wanted to do for several years. I wanted to combine my love of beautiful wood, stained glass and Tiffany. This piece was inspired by the Tiffany stained glass plaques. It is made from a special handmade glass from the 70's that was made only 25 miles from my home. The wood is spalted Bradford Pear, spalting is a fungus that enters the wood when it is still green and wet. The fungus eats the sugars and starches in the wood and the result is the beautiful color streaks and black lines. The stand was also made from the spalted Bradford Pear. This is a one of a kind piece. Thanks Clara Driscoll at Tiffany Glass for the original design. Shipping $12.95
